Jot it Down: 10A Suspender Trousers Company

As seen in the Milan menswear runway in the last few days, menswear designers are going back to the classic: tailor-coat, pinstripe suits, etc. Personally I think suspender belt/ trousers should be cornerstone of menswear. I remember I had my first suspender belt at…5? Of course at that time it was more on a functional side.  Since then I have abandoned it for two decades, until this brand came up in Pitti Uomo last year. It caught my eyes among thousands of brands.

The 10A Suspender Trousers Company is created by two young designers, Daria Dazzan and Matteo Cibic. Daria graduated from Royal Antwerp Academy and Matteo is a product designer and art director. These two joined together to create a tailoring label called AAAAAAAAAA™ in 2008, making only 10 made-to-order suspender trousers every month. 10A is their ready-to-wear label after their success. The 10A label remains to be high quality and totally Italian, using Italian quality fabrics and being hand-made in Italy.

In last year Pitti, they are awarded special mentions in the Who’s the Next competition.
